The PH104 multipurpose adapter is designed to be versatile enough to add a SeaDAC Lite OEM module, an embedded 4-port USB hub, a CompactFlash IDE adapter, or a 2.5″ hard drive. With the CF104, you can easily add a CompactFlash memory card with an IDE interface to your PC/104 stack. With the HD104, you can easily add a 2.5″ hard drive with an IDE interface to your PC/104 stack.

The unique arrangement of mounting holes (slots at the corners) allows the adapter board to be rotated and mounted 180 degrees along the long axis. This simplifies cable routing and improves access to connectors.

Male-Female stacking spacers from RAF Electronic Hardware help overcome space limitations that may occur when PC/104 or PC/104-Plus bus drives are installed. With this approach, standalone module stacks are used like ultra-compact bus boards, but without needing backplanes or bird cages. Module boards are spaced exactly 0.6 inches apart using RAF precision-made nylon or aluminum male-female spacers, to build structurally secure standalone module stacks. RAF stacking spacers allow PC/104 and PC/104-Plus embedded system designers to employ application-specific module stacks for their products that are easily and securely assembled. The RAF hardware can be used with any of more than 100 different PC/104 ultra-compact bus board modules produced by manufacturers today.

RTD developed HiDANplus to combine the modular stacking
concept of IDAN with the environmental ruggedness of HiDAN. Each HiDANplus frame has an integrated tongue and groove O-ring for environmental sealing and EMI suppression, ensuring a watertight system with minimum emissions. The machined aluminum frames coupled with MIL I/O connectors add superior shock and impact resistance to your system. Each module contains one to four PC/104-based boards with a custom wiring harness and I/O connectors. In addition to the stackable PCIe, PCI, and ISA busses, module-to-module signal connections are accomplished using an internal 120-pin stackable signal raceway, which is user-configurable allowing I/O connectors to be mounted on any frame of the system. Expanding the functionality of a system is as easy as adding another module to the stack. This rugged enclosure packaging system is a solution for any of RTD's PC/104, PC/104-Plus, PCI-104, PCI/104-Express and PCIe/104 modules.

HiDAN is the ideal solution when conditions demand a system capable
of performing in harsh environments. HiDAN's design maximizes ruggedization by enhancing resistance to shock, vibration, water, and airborne particles. Just like the IDAN system, each frame is milled from a solid block of aluminum with the addition of an integrated tongue and groove O-ring for environmental sealing and EMI suppression, ensuring a watertight system with minimum emissions. The machined aluminum frames coupled with MIL I/O connectors add superior shock and impact resistance to your system.
